TODAY’S GAME:With the Generals having already taken the series, Jackson looks to win their 4th straight today over Mobile, with first pitch at 6:05 p.m. The Generals are 26-17 on the season and lead the North Division by 2 1/2 games.

James Paxton picked up his 3rd quality start last night

GENERALS RECAP:  LF Chris Pettit (1×5, R, HR, RBI) hit a walk off home run in the top of the 11th inning as Jackson defeated Mobile 2-1 on Saturday night. Starter James Paxton (6.0,4,1,1,2,6,HR) recorded his 3rd quality start of the season, but didn’t figure into the decision after allowing a solo home run in the 2nd inning. Jackson tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 5th inning on an RBI single by 1B Steven Proscia (2×3, RBI, 2 BB) that brought home 3B Francisco Martinez (1×3, R, 2 BB). Relievers Mauricio Robles (1.1,1,0,0,1,0), Bobby LaFromboise (0.2,0,0,0,1,1), Carter Capps (2.0,1,0,0,0,1) and Steven Hensley (1.0,0,0,0,0,3) combined for 5.0 scoreless innings behind Paxton. Hensley struck out all 3 batters faced in the 11th inning to pick up his first win of the season.

TOPS IN THE LEAGUE: The Generals have the best record in the Southern League, 26-17 and also lead the league with a 2.78 ERA. The next closest to Jackson is Mississippi with a 3.23 ERA

WHO’S HOT?: INF Eric Campbell has hit safely in 7 straight games with 3 multi-hit games, batting .367 (11×30) with 8 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 8 RBI.

CAPPING OFF GAMES: RH Carter Capps has not allowed a run in his last 9.0 innings in relief (7 games). This season he is 1-2 with 4 saves and a 2.08 ERA (5 ER, 21.2 IP). He has limited opponents to a .217 (18×83) average, while walking 4 and striking out 28. Capps has held opponents scoreless in 13 of 16 relief appearances this season.
