GENERALS RECAP: The Generals had their 3-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday to Pensacola, 7-3 at Pringles Park. The Wahoos scored all 7 runs in the first 3 innings and coasted to their first victory of series. Pensacola scored a run in the 1st, 2 in the second and 4 in the third against Generals starter Taylor Stanton (0-1). The righty, making his Jackson debut tossed 2.2 innings and allowed 7 runs (6 earned) on 9 hits. Relievers Mauricio Robles and Brian Moran combined to hold Pensacola scoreless over the final 6 1/3 innings. The Generals scored 2 runs in the fouth inning on an RBI triple by Chih-Hsien Chiang and an RBI groundout by Steven Proscia. Jackson trimmed the margin to the final tally of 7-3 in the ninth with a double by Chris Pettit that scored Kalian Sams. Chih-Hsien Chiang was 2-for-4 in the game, scoring a run and Nick Franklin was 2-for-4 with a double. GENERALS RECAP: The Generals claimed their 2nd win over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Tuesday night by the score of 4-2. The victory extended Jackson’s winning streak to 3 games. Pensacola scored in the 1st inning off an RBI double by Brodie Greene. The Generals answered right back in the bottom of the 1st with 2 runs on three hits.Francisco Martinez began the inning with a double to left and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Denny Almonte. Joe Dunigan reached second on a line drive to center and was driven home by a Jesus Sucre single. Jackson scored two more runs in the game, both thanks to solo home runs off RH J.C. Sulbaran (3-4, 4.58). Chih-Hsien Chiang hit his 1st Jackson home run in the 4th inning. Kalian Sams followed up in the 6th inning with his 4th homer of the year. Sams ended the night with 3 hits, the only multi-hit night for Jackson. LH Steve Garrison (3-1, 3.00) pitched 6 innings, giving up seven hits, two runs, two walks, and striking out two. Yoervis Medina was credited with his third hold of the year. Stephen Hensley earned his 2nd save of the year after striking out all three Pensacola batters in the ninth.

GENERALS RECAP: The Generals used a stellar performance by Danny Hultzen to shutout the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 5-0 at Pringles Park Monday. Hultzen tossed 6 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out five to improve to 5-3. Nick Franklin started the Generals’ offense in the first inning by lining his first of two triples to right field. Denny Almonte then doubled to right and drove in Franklin. Almonte was brought home by a Jesus Sucre single to left. The Generals scored two more runs in the fifth inning on Almonte’s eighth home run of the year. The 2-run shot to right field hit off the scoreboard and expanded the lead to 4-0. James Paxton left last night’s game in the 3rd with a sore right knee

GENERALS RECAP: The Montgomery Biscuits scored four runs in the 1st inning on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium, and never looked back. Montgomery won the 3rd game of the set, 6-1 over the Generals. Ryan Garko continued his hot series Friday with an RBI single and scored on a 3-run home run by the next batter, Tyler Bortnick in the bottom of the 1st inning. The big first gave Montgomery a 4-0 advantage. General’s starter James Paxton (3-3) left after just 2.2 innings with a sore right knee. Paxton walked 5 and struck out 1, allowing four 4 on 4 hits in the loss. The Generals picked up a run in the 7th and trimmed the Montgomery lead to 4-1 on a sacrifice fly from Denny Almonte. Ryan Garko capped off his night in the bottom of the 7th with a 2-run home run and Montgomery put the game away. Yoervis Medina pitched well out of the pen for Jackson allowing no runs on one hit in 3.1 innings. Medina struck out 5 and walked 1. Gabriel Noriega had a season-best 4-for-4 night at the plate for Jackson.

GENERALS RECAP: The Generals scored single runs in five innings Thursday night and defeated Montgomery in game two of the five-game set, 5-4. The series is even at 1-1. Carter Capps (2-2) picked up the win for Jackson tossing a scoreless eighth innings, striking out four of six batters faced. The Generals (28-19) lead the division over Huntsville by two games. With two outs in the ninth Eric Campbell singled an 0-2 pitch to right scoring Francisco Martinez from second base and Jackson took the final lead of 5-4. Jesus Sucre led the Generals going 3-for-4 at the plate. Steven Proscia was 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Generals starter Steve Garrison did not factor in the decision allowing three runs on seven hits over five innings.

TODAY’S GAME: After falling 2-1 in 12 innings last night, the Generals look to bounce back tonight in game two at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, game time is at 7:05.

GENERALS RECAP:  Danny Hultzen struck out 12 Montgomery batters over six innings Wednesday in Montgomery, but Jackson fell to the Biscuits in 12 innings, 2-1. Michael Sharidan belted a 12th inning homer sending the Generals to a series opening loss. Hultzen’s 12 strikeouts were the most in an outing this season by a Jackson starter.The 12-strikeout performance by Hultzen was the second-highest against Montgomery. In 2005, Rich Hill fanned 14 Biscuits when Jackson was affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. Offensively the Generals had opportunities stranding 14 runners on base and finished 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Hultzen scattered five hits and allowed just one run over his six innings and turned it over to the bullpen. Bobby LaFromboise and Mauricio Robles added two scoreless behind Hultzen. Yoervis Medina (1-4) surrendered the homer to Sheridan in the 12th and suffered the loss.

GENERALS RECAP:  The Generals split a double-header with Mobile on Monday afternoon, dropping game 1, 2-1 and winning game 2 on a Francsico Martinez walkoff 2-run home run in the bottom of the 7th, 4-2. The Generals won the series, taking 4 of the 5 games. In game 1, starter Brandon Maurer (5.1,6,2,2,2,6,HR), recorded his first loss of the season, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits in 5.1 innings. LF Chris Pettit (3×4, 2B) led the team with 3 hits, while 3B Eric Campbell (2×2, 2 BB) picked up the only other multi-hit game for Jackson. GENERALS RECAP:  LF Chris Pettit (1×5, R, HR, RBI) hit a walk off home run in the top of the 11th inning as Jackson defeated Mobile 2-1 on Saturday night. Starter James Paxton (6.0,4,1,1,2,6,HR) recorded his 3rd quality start of the season, but didn’t figure into the decision after allowing a solo home run in the 2nd inning. Jackson tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 5th inning on an RBI single by 1B Steven Proscia (2×3, RBI, 2 BB) that brought home 3B Francisco Martinez (1×3, R, 2 BB).
