GENERALS RECAP: The Wahoos evened the series at 2-2 taking game 4 over Jackson, 6-1 on Friday night. Starter Brandon Maurer (5.0,5,4,4,4,4,3,HR) suffered his first loss since May 21 on Friday, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits over 5.0 innings. RH Yoervis Medina (1.0,1,0,0,0,3) allowed 1 hit and struck out 3 in 1.0 inning in relief. Jackson wouldn’t be shutout on Friday as Gabriel Noriega brought in Kalian Sams with a groundout in the eighth.CF Denny Almonte (2×4) recorded the only multi-hit game, while LF Sams (1×3, R), 1B Jharmidy De Jesus (1×2, 2B, BB) and SS Noriega (1×3, RBI) each recorded 1 hit.

FERNANDEZ MANIA: LH Anthony Fernandez became the first Jackson pitcher in franchise history to post back-to-back 9-inning complete games. Fernandez has allowed just 1 ER in 18.0 IP in his first two starts in Double-A, including a 2-hit, complete game shutout on Thursday night in Pensacola. Fernandez is 2-0, with a 0.50 ERA.
