TODAY’S GAME: The Generals continue their series in Pensacola, with game 3 of the 5 game set at Maritime Park. Jackson leads the current series 1-0 and lead the season series against the Wahoos 7-4. Jackson is 3-3 in games played in Pensacola this season.

GENERALS RECAP: 3B Nate Tenbrink led off the game with a solo home run and starter Steve Garrison held the Wahoos to 1 run over 6.0 innings as Jackson defeated Pensacola 4-2 on Tuesday night. Tenbrink went 4×5 with 2 runs scored, 1 home run and 2 RBI in only his 3rd game this season with Jackson since returning from the disabled list. 2B Stefen Romero (2×3, RBI, BB) picked up his 5th multi-hit game and extended his hitting streak to 6 games since his promotion from High Desert. RF Kalian Sams (2×3, R, 2B, BB, SB) recorded the Generals other multi-hit game, going 2×3 with 1 double and 1 walk. Garrison (6.0,4,1,1,2,2) earned his 5th win of the season, allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 6.0 innings. LH Mauricio Robles (1.1,0,0,0,0,3) struck out 3 batters in 1.1 innings in relief, while RH Carter Capps (1.0,1,0,0,0,2) allowed 1 hit and struck out 2 in a scoreless 9th inning to pick up his 12th save of the season.

HOT HITTING ROMERO: INF Stefen Romero has hit safely in all 6 games he has appeared with 5 multi-hit games with Jackson since his promotion. During this stretch is batting .428 (11×23) with 4 runs scored, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 8 RBI. Combined Romero is batting .367 this season.

HOMER’N JOE: Joe Dunigan won the Southern League Home Run Derby last Tuesday in Kodak, TN. Lately games have been a Home Run Derby for Dunigan, now T-2nd in the SL with 14 home runs on the year. He has hit 6 homers in his last 15 games.
