While the Generals are on the road in Montgomery, for the first time in 15 years Pringles Park in Jackson hosted something besides baseball. The 2012 Sports Plus Jackson High School football jamboree was hosted Friday with 10 teams and 5 games being played. Over 7,100 fans poured into Pringles Park, the most ever for an event in the parks 15 year history.

Below are some pictures that give you a feel of how the field was presented. Big kudos go to head groundskeeper Marty Wallace for making this possible. The pictures are courtesy of the Jackson Sun, Dan Eason and Tabitha Hampton, Marty Wallace and Bradley Field.

If you want to read more about the event you can read the Jackson Sun’s recap by Brandon Shields.

The Generals return to Pringles Park for a double-header and the field should be in fine shape for it.
