TODAY’S GAME: The Generals (8-12) open a five-game road series tonight in Chattanooga, TN against the Lookouts (LAD). This is a rematch of last years SL North Division Series that Jackson took 3-1. Jackson was 9-7 last year during the regular season against Chattanooga. 20-year-old righty Taijuan Walker makes his fifth start of the season tonight. Walker is making his 48th career start and 30th for Jackson. Walker was 0-2, with a 8.04 ERA against the Lookouts last season in three starts.

GENERALS RECAP: After taking an early 2-0 lead, the Generals fell in the rubber match of the series to Pensacola 8-4 on a cold and wet Wednesday. SS Gabriel Noriega (2-4, 2RBIs) plated RF Abraham Almonte (1-3, R) in the first and DH Brad Miller (1-3, RBI) singled 2B Jack Marder (1-4, R) in during secondA half inning later, the Wahoos responded by pushing three runs across the plate to take the lead 3-2. In the sixth, 1B Steven Proscia (1-3, HR) launched a home run to tie the game at 3-3 after six. Generals’ LHP James Gillheeney (ND, 6.0, 2-0,3,3,1,3,3,0) added a quality start for Jackson on the mound and pick up a no decision. RHP Moises Hernandez (L, 0-2, 0.1,3,4,4,1,0,0) relieved Gillheeney in the seventh and suffered the loss, allowing four of the five runs that inning.
WHO’S HOT: RHP Taijuan Walker has not allowed an earned run in his last 3 starts (4 R), loweing his season ERA from 7.20 to 1.64. Overall this season, he is 1-2 with a 1.64 ERA (4 ER, 22.0 IP) in 4 starts. He has limited opponents to a .165 (13×79) average, while walking 14 and striking out 25.
